MLS Support

The Canopy MLS Support team is here to assist Realtors® with all of the various services available through a membership with Canopy MLS.  Altogether, our team of Support Specialists has over 50 years of experience answering questions related to the MLS products and services.  We are available six days a week to assist you with any questions you have.

If you would like to find help online you can visit our Support Center.  Here, you can browse our Knowledge Base to find helpful articles, an archive of our past Matrix News updates, short videos explaining the use of MLS tools, and more.  You can also submit a ticket directly from here, and view your previously submitted tickets as well.

We are also available to assist you by email at support@canopyrealtors.com or by phone at (704) 940-3159.

We love to hear feedback from Canopy MLS subscribers!

We appreciate our members who take the time to suggest improvements to the MLS system, the tools we offer, or the Canopy MLS Rules and Regulations.  Many of the changes that occur at Canopy MLS start with a suggestion from one of our members.  If you have an idea you think would improve our service, please email support@canopyrealtors.com.

When you have a suggestion, it goes through a thorough review process.  Your email to us is your chance to “make your case” – please feel free to provide any relevant examples, references, or other material to explain why you believe your idea would be an improvement.  Once received, MLS staff will review the suggestion internally and will provide you with an initial assessment and response.  Feasible suggestions are then shared with the chairperson of the MLS Advisory Group for consideration.  If the MLS Advisory Group chairperson approves, it will be added to a future MLS Advisory Group agenda for consideration.  The MLS Advisory Group is a committee of Realtors and other Canopy MLS members who are appointed by the Canopy MLS Board of Directors specifically to provide the Board with recommendations to improve our service.

If the suggestion is approved by the MLS Advisory Group, it will follow one of two paths:

  1. Recommendations that include “major” changes to the MLS will be reviewed by the Canopy MLS Board of Directors. Examples of these types of recommendations are:
    1. Changing the Canopy MLS Rules and Regulations
    2. Making a field required, or changing a required field to optional
    3. Implementing a new product
    4. Substantive changes to these forms: 55 and Older Statement of Qualification, Coming Soon-No Show Status Seller Authorization, Firm Exclusive Agreement, Custom Built New Construction Price Certification
  2. These recommendations do not require approval from the Canopy MLS Board of Directors:
    1. Adding an additional option (or “lookup”) to an existing field
    2. Changing reports, displays, wizards, stats or market reports

This process takes time, from the Canopy MLS Advisory Group, to the Canopy MLS Board of Directors (if necessary), then back to staff for planning, scheduling and implementation. Some suggestions can take many months to make it through the process.

Some suggestions we receive have been previously requested by other agents.  Generally speaking, once a suggestion has made its way through our process and a final decision has been made, that suggestion will not be reconsidered (there are, of course, some exceptions to this).  Here are a few common examples of suggestions that will not be reviewed again:

  • Allowing square footage ranges
  • Value range pricing
  • Reinstating MLS Areas/Subareas
  • Ending the use of Coming Soon-No Show status
